Scribe Studio Announcement
Mar 9, 2009 Wedding Planning InstituteWe have recently learned that due to their own economic realities, Distance Learning, Inc., the owner and operator of Scribe Studio, will be closing their site on May 1, 2009. This will not affect Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute, our Certified Wedding Planner students, or our other partners except to expedite a change that was already in the works prior to this announcement.
We have utilized the Scribe Studio online classroom environment for our students’ distance learning needs for the past several years, but due to the expansion of our own business, have been in negotiations with a replacement service that will better serve the needs of our students, graduates, and other partners.

The new online classroom provider will allow our students, graduates, and instructors to communicate, share, and participate in each others’ successful wedding planning businesses as well as have continued access to curriculum resources and continuing education courses.
As the transition date approaches, we will continue to communicate the process and details to you through email, newsletters, our blog, and our websites. Our goal is to make the transition seamless and simple for our students and other partners.

i’ve greatly enjoyed the format of the online course and found that it has been easy to navigate. the resource library has also been a huge help on those not so understandable assignments.

The new online environment will have all the positive aspects of Scribe Studio with additional social networking features that will allow our students, graduates, instructors, and wedding industry veterans to more easily communicate, collaborate, network, and work together. We are really excited about the new online environment we are building.

I too have really enjoyed the online information provide by WPI. The combination of classroom and online instructions are very balanced. I have learned alot and I am excited about beginning my career as a wedding planning.

I have truly enjoyed the Wedding Planning course, classroom instruction as well as the library and the on line options that have been offered thus far. There are so many technological advances that I am sure your new on line classroom provider will offer even more. Great job - keep up the good work!

I’ve enjoyed the online delivery option of the course and the assignments gave me an opportunity to gain more knowledge of what wedding planning actually is and how to open a new business sometime in the future. After taking the chapter tests, I’ve more confidence in taking the certification exam.

I have really enjoyed the combination of online and in the classroom learning. I like the availability of the the extra information provided to us online in the Library. The information provided in the course was great to get a business up and running.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this online classroom learning. I love having the ability to work at my own pace and whenever time is available. I definitely have gained my self-confidence in my wedding planning skills and plan to have my 2 other wedding planners for my company complete the course in the very near future. I have loved every minute of and have received a wealth of information from this course. I would definitely highly recommend it to everyone!

This is the first time I have taken an on-line course. The site was easy to navigate andi it was easy to down-load forms from the on-line library.

I have enjoyed the course with my teacher and my fellow classmates. Our teacher has a wealth of knowledge and I am very glad I got a chance to take this course

I chanced upon the Wedding Planning course advertised in the website and I sought out the course schedule and school.
I am glad I did as I had been wanting to take this Wedding Planning course and getting certified. All these years, I thought about it and it was always at the back of my mind. I am glad I chanced upon this opportunity as my wish to become a Wedding Planner is going to be fulfilled.”

I enjoyed the course with my teacher Heather Holliday and my fellow classmates and I really like the set up class room. I learned a lot and I realized that there are a lot of new things to learn. The teacher was very knowledgeable and experienced in the field and she was very generous with the advices she gave. I did enjoy it

I am taking a certification class from LWPI at Foothill College, CA. I like my teacher Janet, and enjoy the class very much. Everyone in class is full of his own characteristic. I like the homework, all the objectives are very practical, It will be very helpful when I start my business. Visiting the vendors is the fun part of the class. Wedding industry is a teamwork industry; a wedding won’t be successful without the cooperation of every vendors.

I too have enjoyed this process from start to finish. I enjoyed the excercises and classes. I was skeptical about online only so I loved the classes and online combinaation. I have learned more than I ever expected.

I have enjoyed taking this course. From doing the objectives they have made me thought about really getting my business started. Now that I have all the tools necessary, it may now happen sooner than later. The classroom experience has been really good, especially since my teacher, Elaine, has been in the wedding planning business for so many years of experience. I will definitely take the advice she has given me and use it to the fullest.

I liked the wedding planning course because it teaches the general principles of starting business while detailing the designing and managerial aspect of the wedding industry. Chezelle Rodriguez has been a great instructor who shares experience and oppurtunity.

I agree with Zibo. The course really does incorporate all the business aspects of starting a wedding planning business. Very comprehensive. Also, our instructor Chezelle, was fabulous. The class was not only informative, but she made it fun and very interesting. Sharing her experiences with us made it that much more well worth it. She was very supportive and encouraged us to think outside the box.

I really enjoyed the course. Already being an event coordinator at a venue, I took the class to learn the proper etiquette and structure of weddings. Chezelle our instructor was fabulous and made every class enjoyable and was extremely knowledgeable.

I am interested in event planning..in fact this is my passion-have been planning parties for my family for a while now and it all comes naturally to me. Thus, I would like to learn some new skills and get paid for what I enjoy most. Now, are these courses for just weddings or for any events such as large professional meetings, birthdays, anniversaries etc?? Thank you.

I am very interested in taking the online course at the institute, but I was wondering if you still get to go on field trips if you do the course online?
