In a time of layoffs and rising unemployment it is good to know there is a career that is still growing. Now people can start this career with college courses and get hands on training.

Having been someone that was recently laid off from the corporate world….the Wedding Planning Institute’s program and industry knowledge has turned my grim outlook around and I can’t wait to start working on my first event. Thank you for all the support and confidence.

It is great to see this information in print! We all work extremely hard to perfect our wedding planning business and keep our clients happy so it is nice to see that it is being recognized monetarily. I think we all just need to keep in mind that as business women can help dictate that monetary worth by the service we provide. Keep up the great work wedding planners, our brides deserve it and so do we!

Today happens to be the last day of my certification class. This is very exciting news for persons of the wedding planning industry.

I am in an 8-week certification class. I opted to take the class at a local university as opposed to online because I felt I needed the discipline and interaction with other students. We meet 2½ hours two days per week. I have thoroughly enjoyed the class and found it to be most beneficial. However, I work full time and found the class to be far more intense and time consuming than I had anticipated. Each week we have to read four chapters, take a quiz after each chapter, and complete two to seven assignments/projects. The majority of the projects could easily be extended to a week or two. This course could easily be extended to a two semester course versus one semester. Even the students that do not work or work part-time complained about the amount of work to be completed in a week. Overall, it’s a great course and a true motivator for getting your business started.

After reading the above article I am sooo glad that I decided to focus on my dream and start my business. It has been YEARS in the making and to see it finally start to blossom it feels GREAT. The course is awesome and I love the reading materials and assignments, it forces you to take action immediately. I do plan to subscribe to the Wedding Report as well, it offers valuable information that you truly just don’t find in any other print. I am also planning my booth space for my very first Bridal Show as a vendor, and I am so excited. (yaaayy) Look out 2010…here I come~!

Many couples do not understand the importance of a wedding planner for the big day and I think educating them so they see the obivious benefits would help them make the right decision. This article shows the upward trends for the demands of wedding planners and that is why I thiink it’s the perfect time to get into the industry and start my own planning business.

I’m now taking the Wedding Planning course, and I think it’s really great news to have this chart printed out to explain for us what the business would be after a while. After getting the certificate the first thing I’ll be writing is the business plan and expecting where my business would be after a while. Depending on this helpful chart, I have a clear vision about the business in the future, and encouragement to start my own business after getting the certificate as a certified Wedding Planner from the Wedding Planning Institute.

It is exciting to see that more and more couples seem to realize that hiring a professional wedding planner does not necessarily require them to raise their budget and that the wedding planner can actually save them money with her knowledge and connections.
I hope that here in Europe where I am from this industry will also be growing as it currently is not as widely used yet as in the US.

I’m currently taking the certification class online and loving it. I feel I have learned so much these past two months. I can wait to get out in the field and use my knowledge. This article was very motivational since the economy seems to be struggling.
