Jill and Kevin's Wedding Party

Jill and Kevin and their Dancing Wedding Party

Two weeks and over 14 million YouTube views later, newlyweds Jill Peterson and Kevin Heinz have become famous for their unique and inspirational wedding dance processional. In a twist worthy of their gyrating church entrance, they have responded to their fame and the backlash for resurrecting infamous batterer Chris Brown’s career by using his song “Forever” in their video into a force in the battle against domestic violence.

Through their new website, the couple is accepting donations for The Sheila Wellstone Institute, a program founded by the surviving sons of Sheila Wellstone and Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone in honor of their parent’s commitment to the elimination of family violence.

After sitting down with The Today Show, ticking off Good Morning America, making Google richer, ignoring the media, and being flattered down under, the besieged couple has decided to turn the spotlight onto a very worthy cause.

Despite what the media made out of their wedding entrance, I still think it was fantastic! Talk about a signature wedding, people will still be talking about this years from now! Its nice to see that they turned they’re 15 minutes of fame into something charitable.

I think it’s a wonderful way to support a cause and have fun at the same time. I saw the video a while back and laughed hysterically, never realizing how emotional it actually was.

I love this story! I did see the video of their entrance and despite the flack they received for it I felt it was very touching and a great way to make their wedding more personal! As a certification student, I’ve learned that its the moments like these that couples incorporate into their weddings that make them so memorable for everyone there. Its supposed to be a happy day, so why not celebrate it with flair?

I LOVE this video, I was cracking up when i saw it! It looks like they had a lot of fun at their wedding and will have very good memories for the rest of their lives, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. I think that supporting the fight against domestic violence is a great cause and I wish them lots of happiness in their future.

I thought this video was great and what a great way to remember not only your own wedding but making it one that your guests will never forget. The entrance was very unique and I dont think that the couple had any intention of the song focusing on domestic violence, but kudos to them for taking the step to look at the big picture and focus on the real issue behind the song. The fact that they are open and willing to suppor the fight agains domestic violence says a lot about they type of people that they are. Domestic violence is a huge problem in todays society. I wish this couple lots of luck and happiness in the future.
