Going through my own wedding without a wedding planner to oversee all the little details on my wedding day, I have to admit that I always thought my wedding day was not that special. A few things had happened, for one, the baker forgot my wedding cake although I made a deposit early and they had given me other cakes as compensation. Since then, I have wanted to be a person who can assist brides on their wedding days so that they can relax and enjoy this special day of their life. I don’t wish another woman to go through what I had experienced.
The Wedding Planner Certification class at Kapiolani Community College serves good starting point. This class provides you a very detailed, informative, and realistic picture of what a wedding planner is and how you can start your own business as one from studying the textbook, listening various speakers, visiting venues, and completing mandatory assignments. I have enjoyed this class even if I should change my mind to become a full-time wedding planner and coordinator, but I am inspired by all the speakers that I feel motivated to do something about the wedding industry.

I am currently enrolled in Heather’s class at The University of Akron. I am about halfway through the course now, and I am very glad I chose to take it. The best part is that Heather is real wedding/event planner, with real experiences. If someone in our class has a question she is able to answer it and give details or reasons for why, unlike a text book where it gives you straight facts and no inside look into the industry. I think this class is better taught than most of my other college classes. in other classes professors are teaching things that they have never experienced, and in my opinion experience is the best teacher of all.
