Where can I go to find a job as a wedding planner once I have completed my Certification?

All Wedding Planning Institute graduates have the opportunity to participate in an internship. WPI is partnered with wedding professionals around the United States and other countries and this allows us to offer both paid and non-paid internships that can also lead to employment. What is the difference between The Wedding Planning Institute and some of the other programs offered by associations?

Associations are great once you are in the industry. Many offer networking opportunities to meet with vendors. However, if you are looking for an education you may consider an academic option instead. Associations that offer wedding planning courses are more interested in your association membership dues year-after-year. An academic institution does not require you to pay membership fees or dues just to confirm your education or graduation from their program with employers or clients. The Wedding Planning Institute is an academic institute partnered with hundreds of colleges and universities across the United States. Additionally, association courses/programs are NOT reviewed by any third party to verify quality, standardization or curriculum content. There is NO REGULATION to what they teach you, nor are they obligated to prove or verify their programs to any higher authority.

What is the difference between the Fast Track Wedding Planning Certification program and the Associates Degree program?

The Fast Track program is structured to get a student up and running in their business right away, as soon as eight-weeks and is a pre-requisite for student entering the degree program. The Certification is all that a student needs to start working in the business. The Degree program is for the individual looking for the most intensive wedding planning education available. The degree program requires 75 credit hours.

Can I first take the Fast Track Certification program and then enroll in the Associates Degree program?

Yes. This is usually the best way for a student to get started in the business and it is a requirement to enter the degree program. Students who wish to further their education are welcome to enroll in individual courses.
