What is the difference between a wedding or bridal consultant, wedding planner and a wedding director?
Wedding or Bridal Consultant - Works in partnership with the couple and guides them through the process of wedding decisions. Couples working with a consultant are very much in control of their wedding plans but can rest assured they have professional guidance and assistance when needed. This allows the couple to enjoy the wedding planning process, making it as fun and stress-free as possible.
Wedding Planner - Generally a person who can take charge and plan the details of a wedding from start to finish. The couple is still involved, but most of the leg work is left to the planner, and the couple can trust a professional to make their arrangements for them.
Wedding Director - Coordinates the details, vendors and itinerary on your wedding day. All concerns are placed on the shoulders of the wedding director the day of your wedding. The couple doesn't need to get caught up in the small details and can enjoy their guests and the day's events.
What happens after I finish the course?
The Wedding Planning Institute offers three options to graduates:
- Internship - for those looking for more hands-on experience
- Job Placement Assistance - for those looking to work as a wedding planner
- Bridal Client Referrals - for those who have started their own wedding planning business
How long do I have to complete the Fast Track Wedding Planning Certification Program?
Most student finish within 8 weeks however all students have 6 months from the date of enrollment to complete the self-study or online program. Most college or university classes run for 8 to 10 weeks. Most students finish within this timeline.
What if I do not submit my assignments for grading within 6 months?
There is a $99* re-enrollment fee for 3 additional months. (Fees are subject to change and students are responsible for the current fee schedule, based on the time of re-enrollment.)
